Even the angels do not know when the Day of Judgment will be. Through the power of imagination, however, a worshiper can put his or her Attention on that Day in the afterlife. As the slight bruises of life, the cold of wintry mornings, and the mundane challenges of daily routines tug at our human frailty, our persistence in a lofty concern becomes legendary in the esoteric realms.
Ibn ‘Umar related that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘The angels are shy of ‘Uthman, just as they are shy of Allah and His Messenger.’
